Love ends in many ways. Sometimes quietly, like the fading light in a room that no one visits anymore. Other times violently, like a storm that destroys everything in its path. The End Of Love project is an attempt to capture these moments – subtle and brutal, beautiful and painful – when something that was once the entire world suddenly ceases to exist.
But End Of Love is more than just a story about human relationships. It’s the story of Central and Eastern European nations – countries that for decades were tied to the USSR in a relationship full of dependency and destruction. This “Eastern love” was toxic, yet difficult to abandon. Even today, these states balance between dreaming of the West and the shadow of the East, which still casts its long gaze.
The photographs from this project are an attempt to illustrate this struggle – between past and future, between dependency and freedom. They are images of places and people who are still searching for their identity in a world full of contradictions.
Today, I am deeply grateful that my photos from the End Of Love project have been featured by Subjectively Objective as part of their Artist Feature series. This is a great honor for me, as this platform has long provided space for artists who look at the world in a deep and unconventional way.
Thank you to Noeh and the entire Subjectively Objective team for their trust and support. The publication of this project is more than just showcasing photos – it’s a chance to share a story that is important not just for me, but for many others.
I invite you to explore the publication. Links to purchase the Zine as part of Subjectively Objective’s Monthly Monograph Subscription, as well as a digital version available on my website, can be found in my profile bio.
And for those who are eagerly waiting for the upcoming changes I mentioned in my previous post – don’t worry, they’re on their way! You’ll just have to be a little more patient. ๐ Stay tuned for more updates soon!
Thank you for being part of this journey. ๐โจ #subjectivelyobjective #michalnarozny #documentaryphotography #analogphoto #kodakportra400 #love #loveislove๐
On our way home from kindergarten, my daughter asked me: "Daddy, are there more than one moon?" I quickly replied that yes, there are many. She looked at me with that curious smile and asked further: "Are there as many as the crocuses that were blooming yesterday?"
I thought for a moment and said: "I don't know, maybe there are that many." She stopped, looked into the distance, and said: "I want to be a crocus blooming on the moon."
That sentence has stayed with me since then. I think to myself that no matter whether we have to deal with gravity or its absence, with something new and unknown, or even searching for water on the moon – we should always be ourselves. It's the only way we can show our children that they can be whoever they want to be. Even a crocus on the moon.
The dinosaur photos you see are a mini collection from last year, which I want to bring back as a prelude to upcoming changes that I’ll share with you in my next post.

Yesterday, my daughter asked me to read her the red book. It's a unique book filled with images where you create the narrative yourself. Each story is different, though the pictures remain the same. This time, my story brought sadness to her face. I asked why she was sad, and she, with a trembling voice, admitted it was because of my story.
During dinner, she looked at me with teary eyes and said, "Dad, I want to read the red book again." After dinner, we sat together, and before I could open the book, she said she would tell the story this time.
Her story about a man returning from work, with a child and a dog that was barking, touched me deeply. I asked if the child was her. She nodded yes.
We pass so many people every day. Remember to ask "Are you okay?" or "Do you need help?" when you see someone in distress. Each of us carries incredible stories and a lot of baggage. Don't judge - just be there for each other.
I'm attaching photos from today's exceptionally sunny Berlin to this post.
Hey, you reading this - are you ok? Do you need someone to talk to? If you're going through a tough time, remember you're not alone. Feel free to reach out in the comments or DM if you need support. We're here for each other. ๐

Sneeze, Breeze, Falafel, Repeat. The first snow in Berlin, and I’m bleary-eyed, searching for every possible glimpse of sunlight. Like a mantra, the pattern of another short, gray day stretches on. Long, dark evenings inspire my daughter to create many new layers of reality. Yesterday, she had me singing "Lanterne," and I endlessly repeat that song, enjoying her joy.
The rhythm and melody of my Berlin autumn make me cherish the comfort of Gesundbrunnen, as the chilly weather encourages me to stay close to home and appreciate the details in my daily surroundings - the beauty of leaves swirling through the air and the aroma of fresh falafel wafting from the many restaurants lining the street.
With drool dripping down to my waist and the warm scent of spices, I make my way from home to the library near U-Bahn Pankstraße. Have you ever caved and eaten falafel at 10 AM right after dropping your kids off at Kita?
In these gray days, I remind myself that even amidst the chaos of morning routines, there’s always something beautiful to find. Each day is a new opportunity to discover small joys - in the colors of the city, in a child’s smile, in the scent of fresh bread.
What do you enjoy most about your daily routine? Any tips for getting through these autumn days?

Today's offering: a collection of analog snapshots, curated more by heart than plan. It's a bit like a waiting room, you know? Because life doesn't always make sense right away. Sometimes you need to let things simmer.
Picture this: you're on a never-ending train ride, or you're number 1228 at the Finanzamt. Maybe you're queuing outside Berghain, toes slowly turning to ice. In these moments of limbo, you start to hear your own thoughts.
I've got drawers full of these shots - developed, scanned, then just... left. I revisit them often, no labels, no categories. It's liberating, really. Like thoughts without judgement.
So, what's your take? How do you read this mishmash of moments? What story do these random frames tell you?

The city’s rhythm has recently caught me off guard. A busy morning - dressing my daughter, rushing to pre school, then hurrying to catch the U8 towards Neukölln. Alexanderplatz station, a rare stop for me, still feels like a puzzle with its underground maze.
Coming out of the station, I'm greeted by the TV Tower reaching into the sky. The pace here is different, electric. It's as if someone pulled away my comfort blanket, pushing me into the day before I felt ready.
In the midst of urban chaos, hunger strikes. Luck is on my side - a breakfast bar near the metro exit catches my eye. The cashier, with a bold "Made in hell" neck tattoo, catches my photographer's interest. A polite request for a portrait is met with a gentle "no." These brief interactions, these glimpses into strangers' lives, are the threads that weave the city's fabric.
Sitting by the window, sandwich in hand, I watch the sunlit parade of morning commuters. A man with a briefcase steps into view, creating a perfect outline against the light. These quick moments, these fast pictures, are why I always carry my camera.
As breakfast goes on, the view outside becomes fascinating. I think about all the people I've photographed and how each meeting has shaped my view. There are countless stories waiting to be told, so many lives crossing paths in this urban scene.
What about you? What unexpected meetings have shaped your day?

Remember, every face you see holds a story. Stay curious, stay open to the city's whispers.
As the sun rises over Berlin, the city shares its secrets through beams of light. The warm glow turns my apartment into a magical place, making ordinary things special. My morning routine - the first taste of coffee, hugging my daughter, hearing distant trains - all feel extra special in this golden morning light.
But real life soon calls. I start looking for the tricky "Big Baby" (a doll) and the right clothes for my daughter's preschool adventures. To all parents dealing with crazy mornings - I see you, I'm one of you. Our daily juggling act is tiring but exciting.
My bike ride to Mitte feels like being in a movie. Berlin's mix of buildings makes interesting shadows on my way, and every corner shows me something new. The city feels alive, always changing.
Before my meeting, I stop to take in all the morning sights and sounds. The light on the river, the smell of fresh bread from a nearby bakery, the beat of the city - it's a lot to take in, but in a good way.
What about you, Berlin friends and city people? What beautiful things do you see on your way to work? How do you get motivated in the quiet moments before your day really starts?

Remember, even when life is busy, there's always something beautiful to find. Stay curious, keep your eyes open, and let the city surprise you.
Last Saturday morning in Berlin. The city was still asleep, and I was racing through empty streets on my bike, feeling how each turn brought new thoughts and inspiration.
The sun was slowly waking up, painting the sky with fascinating shades. In my ears, I could still hear my daughter’s joyful shouts about trains—her enthusiasm was so infectious that I couldn’t help but smile. At the bridge near Jannowitzbrücke, I stopped, captivated by the view. The ICE train majestically entered the frame, creating a scene with the mist and the calm Spree River that begged to be captured. My Fuji X70, my diary camera known for its vibrant colors, beautifully captured the essence of these fleeting moments. Once I only shot on film; now I blend both analog and digital. Life brings changes, and fatherhood teaches flexibility. Each day is a new lesson and a new challenge.
That day, I had a moment just for myself. It was time to reflect on the everyday adventures of parenthood. It can be demanding, but it’s also a fascinating journey. After 15 years behind the lens, I discovered that I still have the same passion and curiosity about the world within me. I’m excited to share my observations and experiences with you.
This is the first in a series exploring Berlin through my diary camera, the Fuji X70. Stay tuned for more urban adventures!
What about you? How do you express your emotions? I’m curious to hear your stories and experiences!
